Making the News - Synopsis
When a television network invites e-mail responses, Howard Grayson decided to participate. A computer glitch gives him access to the network's innermost secrets where he is astonished to learn that network television is forcing clients to pay millions in exorbitant advertising fees in exchange for favorable television reports.
Their scheme reaches into Congress and the White House. Failure to comply can mean ruined careers, blackmail and murder. Howard copies the data and prepares a plan to expose the racket.
Howard's son, Jonathan, is drawn into the sinister web and is tenacious to solve the mystery inadvertently set in motion by his father. He enlists his old college friend, Christopher Alexander Pendleton, who is a reclusive, renegade computer genius. Together, they match wits with the NET computer expert. Chris musters every computer trick he knows to entice NET into falling for their trap. Christopher is shocked to learn his adversary at NET is a prior acquaintance and she is equally surprised to learn she is hunting none other than, the legendary, Christopher Alexander Pendleton. Finally, in a dramatic showdown, Jonathan is determined to extract revenge and expose the entire network but first he will confront the man who is in charge of NET's security, a ruthless psycho who will stop at nothing to protect the NET empire.
